How's Your Attitude, Thursday, November 5, 2009

Reading: Philippians 2:5-8, 5Your attitude should be the same as that of Christ Jesus: 6Who, being in very nature[a] God, did not consider equality with God something to be grasped, 7but made himself nothing, taking the very nature[b] of a servant, being made in human likeness. 8And being found in appearance as a man, he humbled himself and became obedient to death— even death on a cross!
Have you ever been in a situation where you had more experience, more knowledge, more education and/or more understanding than a particular individual. And, that person comes along that you KNOW couldn’t possibly know what you know, and they begin telling you what to do or give the impression that they know more about it than you do? Now, picture the creator of the universe… humbling Himself to come down to be the baby, the student, the servant, the condemned one, the crucified one.
What was His attitude like and give illustrations?

What is your attitude like or would it be like in that same scenario?

In what areas do you need to work on and demonstrate humility today?
In general?

At work?

At home?
